Youth Awards
The 21st annual La Raza Youth Leadership Conference is scheduled for Saturday, April 28, 2012. In the past twenty years the conference has provided Latino students the opportunity to participate in a full day of educational, informative and entertaining workshops. Since the mission of the conference is to provide a resource for young people to achieve their full educational, economic and social potential, it is our intent to recognize those students who exemplify this mission.
The Youth Awards Committee is seeking nominees for the 2012 Youth Leadership Award. The conference targets young students in two grade ranges: 6th-8th and 9th-12th. Two recipients from each grade range will receive a cash award in recognition of his/her scholastic achievements, leadership and community service. The recipients will be presented their awards at the conference.
